FAUmachine-base - FAUmachine main program files

FAUmachine is a virtual machine that can simulate PC hardware.
FAUmachine runs as a normal user process (no root privileges or kernel modules needed) on top of Linux on i386 hardware. The FAUmachine's processor is the real machine's processor. The memory management unit and the real time clock are simulated.
FAUmachine uses special modified versions of boot loaders and kernel to be able to run such system code in userspace. If the corresponding modified version is available, FAUmachine will automatically use the one that matches your simulated system. Everything that is needed to run the major distributions inside FAUmachine is provided as separate packages (for example FAUmachine-suse-92). You have to install the one matching your simulated system.
