SGML converters for the linuxdoc DTD only.

The Linux Documentation Project advise using this set of SGML parsers to generate HOWTO's and books. LaTeX, ASCII, HTML, PostScript and roff can all be generated from one SGML source file.

HTML can be generated without any other Debian text processing package, but for the other formats the appropriate packages will have to be installed.

This sgml-tools has been designed and implemented only for linuxdoc DTD. Since the upstream completely moved away to the developemnt of sgmltoolls-2, this set of tools would not be enhanced to handle other DTD documents.

If you wish to convert debiandoc DTD documents, Please install and use debiandoc-sgml package. If you wish to convert docbook DTD documents, Please install and use jade or sgmltools-2 package.
