dmake
- utility to maintain program groups, or interdependent files
/Main/Other/i386/Development/Building/
dmake is an implementation of the UNIX make utility with significant
enhancements. dmake executes commands found in an external file called
a Makefile to update one or more target files. Each target may depend on
zero or more prerequisite targets. If any of the target's prerequisites
is newer than the target or if the target itself does not exist, then
dmake will attempt to reconstruct the target using the provided rules.
dmake was written by Dennis Vadura, and may be distributed under the
terms of the GNU General Public License. dmake provides many features
that make it possible to write Makefiles that are portable across many
platforms. Commercial and freeware versions are available for many
other popular platforms such as OS/2, Apple Macintosh, Amiga, Atari ST,
etc. See http://dmake.wticorp.com/ for more information.
